DON Santino ... BIO
Don Santino quickly learned of his extreme love for music growing of as a kid in and all over Southern California. He was brought up listening to Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Van Halen, The Police, Rolling Stones, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins and other 80s/90s groups. As time went by, the variety of music he loved grew and expanded to Alternative, Hip Hop, Reggae and ultimately Trance & House music. In his early teen years he discovered a producer/DJ named Armin van Buuren, now the number 1 DJ in the world, who influenced his new interest of Electronic Dance Music (EDM) with the track called Communication. This was only the beginning. Not long after discovering his newly favored artist he was introduced and started listening to mix sets by Tiesto, Paul van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, and other International Trance artists. In High School he and his best friend started working together with MIDI Synths and Audio Production Programs together making remixes and productions. It was in this time period in which he first got introduced to House Music by the Swedish House Mafia (Axwell, Eric Prydz, & Steve Angello) and since then there was no going back for him. Don Santino plays a variety of both House and Trance Music as well as any and everything in between. He believes Genre is meaningless and is just a means of dividing people. Stay on the look out for one of the most dynamic and energetic DJ’s in Southern California to get you moving!
